Go, Taylor! Highlight of the evening had to be when the guys were doing their medley & Taylor comes out playing his harmonica. Too cool!
Just in case you haven't had your Taylor Hicks fix yet, or if you need something to satisfy it until his album comes out (probably next year - unless you want to pick up the hideous single he was forced to sing on the show okay, I take it back - heard a streaming version of the studio release & it is MUCH better than the live version was - might actually have to buy it), here are some places to check:

We've been looking for a way to offer an easy way to keep up with your favorite Gladeville Blog - and I think we've finally found one! FeedBurner is an online blog management service that will allow us to offer the ability for individuals to subscribe via email to one (or more) of our GBC staff blogs. Simply enter your email address into the form in the "Subscribe" box to the right and you'll be set-up to begin receiving updates via email whenever anything new is posted here.
Be watching for additional subscription boxes to appear on the remainder of the GBC blogs in the coming week.

Andrea & I went on a double-date with Craig & Barbara Webb this weekend to see The Da Vinci Code. I've been reading the book in preparation for our teaching series in June for the past week & a half or so. You should have seen me before we left! I was reading every chance I could get, trying to intake as much of the book as I could before I subjected myself to the movie. I knew that there would be discrepencies, but I also knew that I didn't want the movie to ruin the book for me. If you have a choice, definitely pick up the book. It is about 450 pages long, but it is an extremely easy & good read.
Overall I would probably give the movie a B-. I admit I'm jaded in at least two ways from probably the majority of people who will see the movie: A) I've read the book (at least partly, with plans to finish it before June 4th) and B) I'm a committed Christian. These two things kept me both a little skeptical & unimpressed when it came down to it. No one is going to win any Academy Awards for this one. It will be a blockbuster, mind you, but only because of the success of the book, the hype surrounding the movie release & the overwhelming tendency for the millions who've read the book to largely ignore any bad reviews there are of the movie & to see it anyway (and there are many bad reviews).

Read about a major fau paux on a church website. Seems they were using one of the many online quote databases to find Scriptures to display on their home page. They posted the following on their site:
"If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine." - Luke 4:7
Problem was that they unknowingly were quoting Satan himself! The quote was from the passage when Satan is tempting Jesus in the desert. Seems someone forgot to proof the site before they pushed it out for all to see

Well, it's been over a month (I think) since I've posted anything here. Since then we've set-up Craig Webb, Michael Eubanks & Chase Baker with blogs in the Gladeville Blogs system. Of course, none of us has been posting with any frequency, probably because we're the only ones who have been reading it. That will likely change soon as we look to officially release Gladeville Blogs and alert others at the church about this new way for them to get to know some of our leadership and get 'behind-the-scenes' insights, if you will, into some of where Gladeville is heading.
Look for a landing page, of sorts, at blogs.gladevillechurch.org to appear in the next week or two, and along with it some more worthwhile banter on our parts.
