10 Days?!

Posted by Chris

Wow! It's been awhile since I didn't post anything here for 10 days! Oh well, things have been busy around the Ediger home, so it's really no surprise. Thought I would spend a few minutes, at least, giving a general update so everyone won't think we fell off the face of the earth ... THE BOYS
School has been going well for both of the boys. Micah is enjoying preschool & was the 'Person of the Week' last week. It was cute - we helped him decorate a poster that described things he liked/disliked, what he wanted to be when he grew up (a fireman at the moment), etc. He also got to do Show & Tell & proudly showed everyone his "Silly Soccer" game that he had saved his money all summer & bought the week before.

Josiah is enjoying homeschooling as well. Math is his favorite subject, so he finished with this each day to have something to look forward to. He & Andrea (& Micah, also) have been keeping nature notebooks where they sketch things they observe outdoors. Last week we discovered that we have a family of rabbits living under our shed in the back yard. Andrea & Si spent quite a bit of time observing the baby rabbit from the distance & incorporating that into what he was learning for the day.

The boys start Soccer tonight with several of the families from our church. We've been getting together every-other week for sports with the kids & will rotate sports throughout the year. We just finished T-ball.

Both boys (actually all three kids) have been fighting allergies, or something, for the past several days. I think it started at the end of last week. They're doing better now, with Emerie hanging onto it the longest.

EMERIE
Emerie is walking everywhere now & her vocabulary is expanding daily as well, it seems. In addition to "No" (which she has mastered quite well), she now says "all done," "cracker," "hey/hi," & more. She also points & helps us understand what she wants much better than she has in the past.

She's as cute as ever - and continue to get bigger by the day. Andrea could tell you how much she weighs now & how many teeth she has (quite a few). I'll have to ask her later & update this then.

ANDREA
Andrea is busier than ever with homeschool in addition to normal everyday life activities. She started the new Beth Moore study, "Believing God," last week. She is attending a women's study group on Tuesday nights with some girlfriends at Life Church. She's also highly anticipating her "Super Bowl" - Miss America - which is this Saturday night. She's having some of her girlfriends over for a "Miss America" watch party. It should be fun - it is something that she did when she was in college, so it will be fun having the girls together again to watch it. Any of you who know Andrea at all know her famous "Miss America & Chinese Food" tales!

CHRIS
I'm doing well. Work is going good. I'll begin upping the amount of contacts I make for work in the next couple of weeks as I follow-up with a mailer we are doing to attract business. We are getting set to launch Phase 1 of the new Bridgeway website in the next couple of weeks & I'll post the link/announcement here when it goes live. It will have a ton more information (& updated) than the current site has. I've started TiVo-ing the season premieres that began last week. In addition to Survivor (which begins this Thursday) & Smallville (which begins next Wednesday) I'm going to weigh my other options of probably 1-2 other shows that I might record & follow. There are so many good ones that I'm looking forward to that it will be hard to decide. Last night I watched "The Apprentice" (from last week) & "The Benefactor" & liked both of them ("The Apprentice" probably more so). We'll see.
