Blog Weary
Posted by Chris
I like to blog. Really, I do. I've always enjoyed writing, and blogging provides an outlet for me to think outloud, for people to peer-in to how my brain works. I like it.
That being said, I have to admit that I'm a bit weary with the prospect of blogging as of late. This is mainly due to the fact that I am feeling a bit schizophrenic with who I am online. I blog at Gladeville. I blog at Threads. I blog here. I could actually blog through my MySpace, or Facebook pages, although I prefer to redirect people to one of the aforementioned blogging outlets. Add that to my newly discovered Twitter - and others that I'm not going to post because I don't want to feel any more pressure keeping up with things. I need someone to come up with a web service that consolidates my many blogging outlets. Something that will let me (1) post one blog entry & have it published on every blog I have & (2) will create a central blogging hub where I could direct people instead of having to figure out - "Is this something that I should be blogging about here or there?"
I'm a technology junkie, so I know I bring it on myself. I'm at the verge of trying to figure out how to eliminate all but one, but I can't figure out how exactly to do that. The Edigers.com isn't going anywhere. I'm coming upon blogging four years here (since right before Emerie was born in 2003). The church is the next logical place to start. Especially since I don't know if anyone really reads those. Would be much easier to just have a link on a staff bio page that read "click here to read Chris' blog" and have it pointed here, or something.
If anyone finds the perfect solution - let me know. Until then I'll just have to continue to remain frantic for now.
