We've had a good weekend so far. We took a little trip to Claremore, OK, yesterday to get away for the day. We wanted to have some time as a family before both of the boys started school next week. We went to the Will Rogers Memorial, a local dairy & took the boys bowling for the first time. I've put up a "Bowling" album [not currently active] in the gallery with a few pics from the bowling alley. It was a lot of fun. The first few frames took a little longer waiting for the boy's balls to roll all the way down the lane. After that we found a little contraption that looked like a ramp that we used with the boys to make it go a little faster. I think they enjoyed rolling the balls down the ramp better also & seemed to have a good time. It was nice having the alley almost to ourselves as well. Like I said before, both the boys start school next week: Josiah begins Kindergarten on Monday & Micah begins his preschool on Tuesday. Both are pretty excited - especially Micah. He received a postcard from his teacher last week & he carried it around for several days showing it to everyone who came by. I can hardly believe that the boys are growing up this fast.

We're also TiVo-less this weekend. Our remote suffered a fatality the other night in the hands (actually mouth to be more specific) of one of our boys. That's one problem with TiVo is that you can't just go and pick up another remote at Wal-Mart. You have to order a replacement from TiVo's web site & then wait several days until it comes in. To make it worse, there are no buttons on the TiVo box, so there is no way for us to control it. I forgot how much we hated commercials & what a luxury it has been to skip them. We've been watching movies some since we really don't feel like channel surfing. Hopefully the remote will get here at the beginning of the week sometime & we can get back to life as normal. (I'm missing being able to watch a few Seinfeld episodes in bed)

UPDATE: Okay, I'm really missing TiVo now. I've been trying to watch the Chiefs/Vikings pre-season game. First off, I didn't get to sit down to watch it until there was only a couple of minutes left in the 1st half so I missed not being able to start watching the game from the beginning as usual. Then there was me reaching for my remote everytime there was a good play thinking I could do my own 'instant replay.' Alright, I think I'm done with my pity-party now.
