Chick-Fil-A, Norah Jones & a Hippie

Posted by Chris

Wow! What a great concert last night! We had such a good time!

Kelli Foley (one of our students from Coffeyville who is now a student at OSU) came over around 6 pm to watch the kids for us for the evening. We grabbed a bite to eat at Chick-Fil-A (high scale dining!) before heading to the concert. The opening act was great - His name was Amos Lee. Just him & a guitar, but he had an amazing voice. I don't think he has a CD out yet - but one is supposed to be released on Blue Note records in March 2005. Norah was, of course, amazing as well. It was a nice concert - the kind I enjoy where you can just sit, relax & soak it in. Andrea sat next to a Hippie (we think). I swear she was acting like she was in church - raising her hands, shouting out, closing her eyes, swaying & singing along to every song Norah sang! It was a riot! Andrea & I tried to keep from laughing to loud as we didn't want to embarass her. It was pretty funny, though!

Amos' official site has three clips to listen to, but I could only get one to work. Here's another site with some of his songs that you can listen to: Click here to listen to more
