Davy Wanted Me to Post This
Posted by Chris
Had a great talk with Davy Cantrell last night on the phone. I think between the two of us Andrea & I talked to him for close to an hour and a half! It was good just catching up with each other's lives (although he, like others, tends to know a lot more about our life because of this blog). He 'encouraged' me (ha!) to post something here as I have been getting out of the habit the past several weeks. Truth is we've been really busy, but I've felt like I need to force myself to post here on a regular basis to at least stay in the habit.
Writing, like many other disciplines in life, comes much easier when I am doing it on a regular basis. The struggle for so long in my life was that I was writing for everything else but pleasure, really. I had to write Bible studies for church, articles for LifeWay, and papers for Seminary. Now I only have one of those excuses so there really is no justification other than pleading on behalf of my schedule!
I am TOTALLY pumped! Tonight Andrea & I are going to see Norah Jones in concert at the Ford Center! The tickets were an anniversary present from Gary, Andrea's dad, back in July & we have been counting down the days since then. I can't wait! This is going to be the kind of concert that I really enjoy going to - the kind where you can just sit & enjoy the music and the artistry of the singer and musicians (in contrast to a lot of other concerts I've been to where you're forced to stand most of the time & the music is loud enough to make you not see straight). I'll definitely post our 'review' sometime in the next couple of days.
