Emerie Goes to Church

Posted by Chris

Yesterday was the first day that Emerie came to church. I think it was as good for mother to be out and about as it was for our baby girl. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's just one of those moments that I don't think I'll ever forget. Andrea arrived right after we begin singing, and it was all I could do to keep from smiling so much that I couldn't sing. I managed, but I will have to admit that I didn't hear a lot of what our Rich was teaching as I caught myself staring at this little girl that I was holding in my arms. Other than that, it was a pretty uneventful day. Today was supposed to be Si's first T-ball game, but it got postponed due to some preschool graduations which were taking place here in town tonight. He has a game on Wednesday at 7 pm. We ransacked Wal-Mart tonight looking for small enough glove for little brother Micah to wear so he could toss the ball around with us in the backyard. I'll have to admit that I had to buy one last week myself. Heck, Josiah hadn't even put a glove on until his first T-ball practice a few weeks ago. What can I say? Baseball is definitely my forte! But, I've been learning enough about the 'how to's' of how your supposed to throw, bat, etc. to be able to practice with Si here at home between his regular practices. I'll be interested to see what Wednesday night's game holds.

On a final note: Emerie looked so cute today! I wanted to take her picture, but left the digital camera at work today, so I guess I will have to spare you another set of photos for the gallery. Andrea still gives me a hard time that I've posted over a hundred so far. All I can say is that I warned everyone that Emerie was going to be spoiled from the beginning!
