Happy New Year!

Happy 2005 to all our family & friends! We had a wonderful holiday season! Here's just a little of what we did...
Christmas eve we got together with the Webbs. We went over to their house around 4pm or so & ate dinner together with our families. Afterwards we went to a Christas Eve candlelight service at a local church here in Hermitage. We really enjoyed visiting with Craig & Barbara & the kids enjoyed playing together. We're excited about getting together with them and getting to know them better in the coming months. After the service it was back to the house to get things ready for Christmas morning.
Christmas day the kids woke up bright & early. We had told them the night before that they couldn't get up until 7 am, and that they couldn't open any presents until Mom & Dad were up and had gotten their cups of coffee! We had a great time opening presents together & watching the kids play with their new toys. It was a nice relaxing day, although it felt strange as the day wore on with us continuing to be with just our little family all day through. This is the first Christmas that we haven't spent with any family ever! The past week has been a good one. The warmer weather finally arrived on Monday & our driveway finally completely thawed out by Tuesday. The kids have loved being able to go outside & play. They have met new friends in our neighborhood. We've met most of our neighbors now. Many of them have young children and most are Christians. This is just one example of how God continues to bless our family! It seems like the pieces continue to fit into place confirming our place here & God's leading us through the past couple of months.
New Year's Eve we had our first official house guests! The night before our friends Tara & Adam from OKC drove to Nashville to stay the weekend with us. Andrea's brother Greg also drove over from Kentucky to spend a couple of days here as well. We had such a great time! It was fun watching Greg play with the kids and for us getting a chance to sit down & visit with old friends. I have to admit, though, that most of us zonked out watching a movie before we hit the new year! How pathetic! Oh well.
Our company left first thing this morning. We got around & went to our first Tennessee church. We just went to the worship service this time, but enjoyed it. Next week the pastor is going to be giving his vision for the church for the new year, so we are planning on going back next week & checking out their Sunday School classes as well. We have a handful of churches that we have been invited to and several that we definitely want to try out. It was nice being in church as we haven't been in awhile because of the whole moving process.
Well, I think that catches everyone up. I'll try to be more faithful now that we are settling in to update this site. Keep checking in & drop us a line when you get a chance!
