‘Internet’ from 1993

Posted by Chris

Saw this posted on a guy's blog I read from time to time. Really interesting to see how this thing called 'Internet' (without the 'the' back then) was perceived..

Bethany Bunch:

Probably thought I didn’t read this, huh? Internet has a crazy way of connecting people. (Actually, Trevor just told me about your blog yesterday.) I love the way they couldn’t find any video to take for this breaking story on Internet. :) (tilt your head sideways, it means I’M KIDDING)

Chris Ediger:

Yeah. The whole emoticons piece was pretty funny :-) No, really, I’m serious :-( ... can’t you tell? LOL

Steven Heicher:

It’s funny how many of us have become slaves of “Internet” LOL.

I remember reading a Dave Barry book about the Internet, and I loved his answer as to who ran it… a 13 year old kid named Jason.
