Just Like Dad

Posted by Chris

Josiah is now in a "Dad" phase - that is, all he wants to do sit by Dad, eat what Dad eats, do what Dad does, etc. Last Thursday he came home from school saying that he wanted his hair spiked like Dad's. So, I took him into the bathroom & gave him a mini-makeover - fixing his hair like I attempt to fix mine everyday. The above pic is the result. The difference - he has great hair, like his mom, while I'm losing mine. I was in Dallas, TX over the weekend at Promise Keepers, which was great. I'm finding it harder, however, to be away from Andrea and the kids. It happens almost everytime I'm gone on a trip of some sort ... I get excited in the weeks prior to the event & then anxious/depressed in the day or two prior to leaving. I honestly feel like I'd rather just stay home with my family. I guess that's a good sign & one that is increasing the longer I am married and the older our kids get.

Well, I'll officially end my little post by saying that it was a great weekend for sports around here! The high school is 2-0 and beat Iola by some 30 points; the Red Ravens are #1 in the country, undefeated, and buried Independence by a similar score; OU killed Fresno State by the same type of margin; and the Chiefs played an excellent game (sans a few minutes at the beginning of the game) and had a large margin of victory over the Steelers. Oh, and did I mention that TEXAS LOST! Ha! That would have honestly been enough. It was GREAT being in Dallas, TX, surrounded by thousands of Texas fans, seeing them go down at home. Okay, enough gloating.

I'm going to be posting Emerie's 3 1/2 mos. baby pictures that we had taken a few weeks ago in the next day or two. They turned out wonderful (Emerie is the cutest baby girl in the world)!
