Moving In …

Welcome to [the future home of] theedigers.com!
Well, we're in the process of moving in our new site. Hopefully in the next week or two we'll have "theedigers.com" registered and the process will be complete. For now, (as many of you might have discovered) when you attempt to visit babyemerie.com you'll wind up here. We've been looking to expand Emerie's web site to be more all-inclusive of family news. That's what this site will become over the course of the next several months. We're actually using a new hosting service called TypePad, which will take a lot of the 'behind-the-scenes' maintenance out of our hands, allowing us to simply focus on sharing news, photos, & information about our lives with those who are interested. Until the new domain is registered & functioning, you can continue to go to babyemerie.com to visit the site. The name will still work until the end of April. After that you'll have to change your bookmarks/links to www.theedigers.com. It's Friday afternoon, which is my normal day off. The prpblem today, however, is that I am sick. Not sure what I have or how I got it, but I got it nonetheless. Started feeling bad last night and woke up feeling worse. I'm trying to rest, although rest isn't something that comes naturally for me (hence me sitting up in bed reading articles on the Internet & posting this). I really do need to take it easy, though, as we've got a big next few days planned.
Tomorrow is Micah's 4th birthday. He has been counting down the days for about a week now & is really excited. He's already gotten a few cards & gifts from friends of ours, which only add to the anticipation of his birthday party tomorrow. Birthdays & Christmas are such a different time for the boys now, as they both grow older. It's been a special time over the last month watching them experience the holidays.
Sunday is Andrea's birthday. We'll have the normal church work day and then we're heading out of town after the evening worship service. We'll be staying/visiting with friends in Oklahoma City for a couple of days. We've been trying to schedule time for this trip for about six months now - so I'm excited about it finally arriving! I'll be meeting with some friends who are working with churches in the OKC area. It will be a refreshing time to be able to fellowship with each of them & share amongst ourselves our experiences being a part of God's work here.
Then it's back to the 'normal' schedule next Wednesday. It should be a really good couple of days ... if I can get to feeling better. I read once that we should take Psalm 23 more literally when it says "He makes me to lie down in green pastures." How true! It seems I get hit with the 'crud' about the time that I need to sit back & rest. So, in a strange sort of way, I can be thankful to God for making me lie down today. That being said ... I need to lie down and rest for awhile.
