Phew…

It's over (sort of)...
I had one heck of a week! Man, I knew it was going to be crazy coming back from being gone on vacation, like it usually is. What I didn't expect was the amount of stress that would accompany it all.
Major project was due at LifeWay on Friday (actually, 2 - although they were related). I've been working with the young adults team at LW on an upcoming website launch that is happening a few months from now. This past week was the week we brought much of the concept into reality, with me programming the pages that would be used on the site. Really fun stuff that I enjoy doing - something I am really thankful is a part of my job with LifeWay. What I didn't expect was how difficult the pages were going to wind up being. Actually, it's probably not the depth of the pages as much as the time constraints. I had from Tuesday until Friday to get it all done which is incredibly difficult. I would get to work, sit in front of my computer programming all day, take a break for lunch (if I remembered to, which I didn't every day), more programming, then come home. Not much interaction going on.
Busy week at home as well, with our homeschool Coop beginning on Monday, Community Group starting on Tuesday, soccer practices, church, etc. For the first time since we moved to Nashville a couple of years ago I wound up working a long day at LifeWay on Friday. Got there at 5:30am and left at 6:45pm.
But I got it done - at least the major part of it. I still have a few loose ends to tie up next week, but nothing major.
Let me just say my wife is utterly AMAZING! It's weeks like this that I remember how wonderful of a woman I am blessed with. She was comforting, enabling, and understanding. She took kids to soccer practice, church, gave me space & time both at work & at home to get things done, and even ordered me us a Calzone on Friday when it was all done (yummy!). God, thank you for the blessings you give - for family, friends & a wonderful wife/marriage/home to come home to everyday!
