Pheww….

I just sent out my last writing assignment for LifeWay and I am feeling a major sense of relief right now. I have been writing for the past 5 weeks, it seems, almost every free moment I have had. Felt a lot like when I was in school (not good thoughts). Staying up late writing, getting to work early to write a little in the quiet before the work day hit, catching up during lunch, and so on and so forth. My time has been severly limited, to say the least.
I was up last night until around midnight reinstalling WindowsXP on our home computer so that Andrea could get some work done today without losing her mind (or destroying the computer - whichever came first). I tried writing with my laptop as I sat at the computer desk upstairs sorting through the installs/reinstalls, etc. I didn't get much quality writing done that way (surprise, surprise). Managed to eek out a small part of the assignment. I set the alarm for early this morning, got to work at 7am & plugged away. Finished during lunch & it feels so good!
Now I can get back to life as sort-of normal. I will be posting here back on my regular schedule again. There have been many times that I wanted to write something, but felt like I couldn't write for pleasure until I had gotten my writing for work finished.
Tonight we are going to some friend's house (from house church) - Eric & Liz. They are in their late 20s/early 30s. He is a pilot with the air force here - on year 2 of a 3 year military plan (before they get shipped somewhere else). The cool thing is that they moved here from Alaska two years ago. How cool is that? They have 2 little ones (I think). It will be nice to spend some more time with them getting to know them better.
I think we'll most likely crash watching movies after we get home. We have one movie (the live action Peter Pan that came out last year) that is due on Sunday and three others via a Blockbuster Online DVD Trial (kind of like NetFlix). I have no idea how/when we will get through them all. Next week we have ... Monday: Oklahoma Redhawks baseball game (the boys got free tickets for reading library books this summer) ... Wednesday: house church ... Friday: Amber's coming (yeah!) & we're supposed to fit a dinner with my cousin Kyle & dinner with our friends Jeremie & Kelly in there somewhere as well. Oh well, I would much rather be busy enjoying the company of others rather than typing to all hours trying to get writing assignments done!
