Si’s First T-Ball Game
Posted by Chris

This has been such a busy week! I told our staff earlier this week that things are already getting hectic in our schedule between preschool graduations, class picnics, and T-ball games - and that's just with a 5-year old! I can't imagine how it is for many of you who have older children who are active. Last night was Josiah's first T-ball game. I had to duck out of our youth meeting early so that I wouldn't miss too much of it. He did a pretty good job. We only had one instance of him being upset when he had to sit on the bench to let some of the other kids play defense. I'm not sure if he thought he was in trouble, but it took a few minutes of me explaining the laws of baseball (the fact that you can't have 20 kids running around in the outfield) and that he would soon get his chance to bat. He recovered pretty quickly & was fine by the time he got up to bat. Micah entertained himself with a package of Sour Straws candy (which he thoroughly got all over himself). We finally found him a kid-sized play glove so that he could join in our backyard 'practices.' I think Micah is going to be more of an athlete than Josiah. He is dying to play T-ball like his big brother. Next year he'll get a chance to play Blast Ball (mainly teaches the basics of hitting, catching, throwing, running to the bases, etc.).
I've posted two new photo albums: One from me reading the kid's bedtime stories [not currently active] the other night, and the other with pictures from Josiah's game. [not currently active]
