Friday night we watched ABC's new game show, "National Bingo Night" with the kids. If you haven't seen the show, it involves allowing viewers to print out bingo cards from their website & play along to win prizes. The show is fun, in & of itself (especially the Indian 'referee' in the crowd that shouts, "No Bingo!"), but this interactive part really makes it even more fun.

What's even greater about the show is that it is a (nearly) perfect fit for TiVo owners/viewers. We rarely watch shows live (heck, I probably couldn't even tell you what time or channel some of the shows we watch come on), which means that watching any kind of interactive game show experience would pretty much negate us right off the bat. Not so with National Bingo Night. They allow you to print out bingo cards about a week before the show, all the way until the show is over (which means you can print them out even if you're watching the show halfway through). The other part, that makes this work so well for us, is that if you actually win with one of your cards, you don't have to 'report' it until Monday sometime. This means that as long as you print out your cards early, you can TiVo the show, watch it anytime throughout the weekend & still win! Too cool!
