Updates …

Well, it has been another 3 weeks or so since I last updated the site. I'm not sure that we've been terribly busy as much as lazy when it comes to posting things. I still have quite a few pictures from our vacation to Grove, OK at the end of last month to post, and hope to get around to these sometime this week. Right now it's looking like tonight is the only free night we have this entire week, so I doubt I will actually get to it until next week. Here's a quick update on how everyone is doing.
Emerie is as adorable as ever. She had her pre-6 months checkup last week & we started her on cereal at that time. She enjoys being held, but mostly when you are standing up. She would also prefer to have someone sit with her on the floor so she can play. She's grown tired of lying on her back or stomach to play for long. We just picked up a really cute "Farm" themed excersaucer (sp?) this past weekend, wish she really enjoys. We also got out the "Johnny Jump-Up" bouncing seat that she likes as well. She continues to be entertained by her two older brothers & they enjoy making her laugh & smile.
Micah is enjoying his preschool class that he goes to two mornings during the week. He wishes he could go to school everyday like his big brother & often times cries when he realizes that he's not going to school on a particular 'off' day. His speech has really made large advances and you can pretty much understand what he is saying most of the time (very different from just 6 months ago).
Josiah is doing well in Kindergarten. He is the only reader in his class & that gets him in trouble sometimes (when he gets ahead of the teacher). His favorite fascination right now is in trying to make his little sister smile. He usually accomplishes this by making the most irritating sounds! And, of course, Emerie doesn't help things because she just smiles away at him when he does it! It's good to see all three kids enjoying each other right now because we know that one day soon they might not get along as well (as brothers & sisters often times do).
Andrea and I are plugging away at life in general. We are leading a Financial Peace University group (Dave Ramsey) at our church one night out of the week. Excellent material - we'd highly recommend Dave's new book, "The Total Money Makeover." We also both have our Sr. High LIFE Groups which meet weekly. Between family & church we find our time pretty limited.
The kids are looking forward to Halloween. Josiah is going to be a firefighter, Micah will be Bob the Builder, & Emerie is going to be Cinderella. We have a big Kid's Karnival every year at the church & then we usually drive them around to trick or treat at a few people's homes. I'll try and post pics of them in their costumes when I post the vacation photos.
