After a month of not posting anything here, we're back! We've been busy enjoying life, catching up with our many sets of company over the past couple of months, and just, generally, taking a break from feeling guilty at not posting things here as much as we felt we should. At any rate, here we go again...

You'll notice a few things have changed (unless you're viewing this post somewhere other than our home page - if so, check out our new design at www.theedigers.com!). When I put together the last version of our blog I didn't know half of what I do now as far as web design goes. The new version will be streamlined & incorporate more personalized backend code than we have ever had before. What does this mean for you? Probably nothing at all - other than noticing a new look to the site. The backend functionality reduces the maintenance tasks for the site and will free me up to have to only concentrate on posting entries instead of hacking around with the code everytime I want to update something. The lists are gone - they really haven't been current for about five months, so I decided to just cut them out. There is one possible exception, as I may be posting a new/upcoming music release that we're currently enjoying. I'm getting a lot more prereleases with my job at LifeWay, so I thought this might be a good way to give you a preview of some good music that will be coming out soon.

We'll also be incorporating photos in more of our posts, instead of excluding most of our pictures to the photo album, as we have done in the past (the photo album, too, will be undergoing renovations in this process). The complete redesign will likely take several weeks (if not longer) as it really isn't a top priority right now. We start homeschool tomorrow, I have several other web projects that my hands are in at the moment, and I'm looking at the possibility of helping our church undergo a site redesign. Keep having patience in us, as you always have in the past, and you'll notice things changing from time to time.

I'll get to more personal going-ons in the next day or two, but I wanted to get the new home page up while I had a little bit (keyword: little) of time. Enjoy!
