You Know You’ve Lost Weight When…

Posted by Chris

I am trying my best to hold out until July to buy some new clothes. If I wasn't so obsessed with pinching pennies to get an iPhone I'd go ahead & take the plunge.

It's not like my clothes don't fit - it's just that they don't fit well. Case in point, this morning... I'm getting ready for work at crack-'o-dawn this morning, and getting dressed when I notice that my belt completely doesn't do a bit of good for me any longer. I hadn't noticed it that much because honestly I've been wearing slacks that are really too big for me now. I put on one of my older pairs of navy slacks (pre-gaining weight ones) & they fit great! Problem is that I can literally spin my belt around my waste - it isn't holding anything up :-)

So, there I am, 6 o'clock in the morning, trying to get out of the house, squatting down on the floor of the basement, trying my best to punch a new hole in my belt with a hammer & small screwdriver without waking anyone up. I'm happy to say I succeeded and now am happily wearing a belt that fits again.

I've got to get back on track with my Weight Watchers. I haven't really gained any weight the last couple of weeks (maybe a pound back), but I haven't lost any either. A lot of it has to do with having guests in our house, and thus, eating out more, and the fact that I've been off on my workout schedule. Hopefully I can take steps in the right direction this week & be back on track again next week (right in time for more guests to arrive).

One exception to this: I don't know how many Weight Watchers points Vernikas are (german dish that is my fave & one that Andrea fixes for me each year on my birthday), and I really don't care. Not counting points on my birthday.
